Over the past few years, this theme has gained increasing importance in his work and has taken on quite eccentric traits, with David Uessem distilling out completely independent forms and depicting them in brilliant foil, sparkling gem stones or eclectic mirrored glass.
David Uessem reminds us that we all mask ourselves - to protect ourselves from others and maybe even sometimes to protect others from ourselves.
